Hello
As you may already know, Konner Drury from Northfield VT was diagnosed with advanced Neuroblastoma at 7 years old. Now 3 years later Konner continues his fight. We would love to write with good news regarding his progress, however he recently under went another full body scan which exposed that the cancer has spread to various areas of his body. Konner is a fighter and will continue to undergo rigorous treatments in hopes of being in remission one day.
Benefit Dinner/Silent Auction Event Information:
As you can imagine, regular trips to Burlington and Boston, where he receives his care, has put a significant financial and emotional strain on his family. And to add to their stress, while traveling to one of Konner’s chemotherapy treatment, Rebecca’s (Konner’s Mom) car caught on fire on the side of the interstate and was burnt beyond repair.
In December 2010 we held a very successful fundraising event with the generous support of our communities. In order to try to alleviate some of their stress, we are putting on another event in hopes of raising enough money to be able to get Rebecca a reliable vehicle for transportation to Konner’s treatments. Rebecca has been unable to work for the past 3 years due to the round the clock care that Konner requires along with his demanding treatment schedule, and therefore, has no means to purchase a reliable vehicle.
