5-3-2011
Konner went to Boston yesterday. He was admitted but will not begin his treatment until tomorrow, if all test are good. The doctors had taken an urine sample and counts were to low to start treatment yesterday. They will retest again today to confirm they can begin with treatment tomorrow. This dosage of treatment is very strong so the doctors say all Konner's count need to be good to begin the treatment.

Konner will be starting chemo today. The doctors have started anti-nausea medicine already this morning prior to chemo beginning.

Konner had a good night. Although he has not gotten sick he has complained of feeling nauseous.

Konner had a rough weekend. He has been sick and has developed sores due to the chemo treatments. These are a few side effects of many that could occur due to the treatments. Konner finished his chemo treatments yesterday and will have his stem cell transplant next week as long as no serious complications occur in the mean time.
5-12-2011The stem cell replacement occurred yesterday. The procedure lasted only an half hour and all seems to be good so far. Konner has still been sick and complaining of stomach pain but for the most part is doing good.

Konner is still feeling nauseous and has the sores in his mouth. He was given one dose of medicine for high blood pressure yesterday. The doctors say Konner's is doing good and his symptoms are to be expected.

Konner's counts have started to show a small improvement. He is starting to feel a little better.

Great news....Konner's counts have skyrocketed! He is feeling better and could possibly be released next week. However, he will still have to stay in Boston for couple of more weeks as he will follow up visits 2-3 times a week at Childrens Hospital Boston.

Konner continues to improve and is starting to try to eat again. He also is starting to get some of his humor back!
